For New Clients Rolling Over $100,000+

New clients who bring over $100,000 or more get their tax return prepared at no charge.

If you’re already planning to consolidate a 401(k) or old IRA, this is what’s included at that account level — a complimentary tax return prepared by our in-house CPA in your first year as a client.

Simply Explained

We used to offer a general free tax return to anyone who asked. It brought in a lot of conversations that had nothing to do with retirement planning. This version is narrower on purpose: it’s for people who are already consolidating a meaningful retirement account with us, where a coordinated tax and income strategy actually matters.

The decision about whether to roll over your account at all comes first, on its own — this offer is what happens after that decision, not the reason for it.

What’s included

  • Your federal and state individual tax return, prepared by our in-house CPA
  • A review of your rollover accounts alongside the return, so your tax strategy and your income plan are built together from year one
  • One return per household, for your first year as a client

Eligibility

  • You're consolidating $100,000 or more in 401(k), IRA, or other retirement accounts with us as a new client
  • You become an ongoing advisory client — this isn't a standalone tax-prep offer for a one-time visit
  • Your return is a standard individual return; unusually complex situations (multiple businesses, extensive rental portfolios) are scoped separately

Questions

Does this offer influence whether you recommend I roll over my 401(k)?

No. Whether a rollover makes sense for you is a separate, first analysis — we compare your current plan's costs and investment options against a rollover IRA on its own merits before recommending anything. This offer is a benefit once you decide to work with us, not a reason to roll over.

Why $100,000?

It's the account level where a coordinated tax and retirement strategy starts to matter most. Below that, a standalone tax preparer may be all you need — above it, the tax consequences of your investment decisions are usually significant enough that having both handled by the same team, in the same conversation, makes a real difference.

What happens after the first year?

Ongoing tax preparation continues as part of our regular tax planning service. The first year is complimentary as part of onboarding; after that, it's priced the same as it is for any client working with our tax team.

Do I have to move my entire portfolio to qualify?

No — this is based on the assets you're consolidating with us as a new client, not your total net worth elsewhere.
